ADOPTION

Thank you for your interest in adopting a worthy animal from Save Our Strays Fort Bend.  Our goal is to rescue as many stray and homeless animals as possible out of the shelter environment and place them into stable, loving and responsible homes. 

The first step of this process is to download to your computer or print the attached Adoption Application located at the bottom of this page, complete the application and e-mail to  fax to (281) 240-1154 or mail to Save Our Strays Fort Bend, P.O. Box 1709, Sugar Land, TX 77487-1709.  

Once you fill out and return this application to us, a representative of our organization will review and upon approval, will contact you and arrange a meeting with the animal that you are interested in adopting.

Please be advised that we do not adopt our animals on a "first come, first served" basis, but rather make every attempt to match families with the right animal that suits their desires and lifestyle.  Adopting a new pet is a long-term commitment, but one that is worthwhile and rewarding.

Save Our Strays Fort Bend appreciates you wanting to give a second chance to these wonderful animals who somehow have lost their way and provide them with a new path in life.

The adoption fee for dogs is $150 and $85 for cats. 

All animals have been spayed/neutered, current vaccinations, microchip and tested for heartworms (dogs) and feline leukemia (cats).  

We cannot guarantee the age or prior history of most of our rescue animals and can only provide an approximation of age according to our veterinarian.
